Hi there, Lil....i came across your youtube channel and wanted to find out more.
I am a 37 year old male trapped in a 50+ year old man's body when it comes to genesis.
I say that, because Peter Gabriel led genesis predates any of my friends and they think i am a total freak for being such a crazed genesis fan. I can honestly say that i've listened to a genesis CD for probably 15+ years in row with only missing maybe a day here or there during that timeframe.
My 55 year old brother-in-law introduced me to genesis on a gloomy snowny night back in 1995 or 96.
I remember drinking a budweiser sporting a pair of headphones and he put the lamb CD in for me before he went to bed.
My life changed that night from a musical stand point (sorry if that sounds a tad korny).
i was probably 19 or 20 years old at the time.
He saw them a few times while growing up in Cleveland during the early 1970's.
He said seeing the Lamb show forever changed the way he views music.
He went into the concert expecting to hear old tracks such as watcher of the skies, tracks from selling England by the pound, and of course foxtrot w/Supper's ready.
All of a sudden they break out a story about a half puerto rican named Rael and totally blew the doors off the theatre. (or land....no pun intended)
We always talk about the one CD if you were trapped on a deserted island....well mine is The Lamb Lies down on Broadway.
I am writing, because i am struggling to find any live Lamb concerts on CD and was hoping you could point me in the right direction.
I obviously have the box set from the LA shrine Auditorium, but i want to collect as many concerts from that tour as possible. I recently saw The Musical Box perform in Cleveland (Nov 2012) and they were good.
I was impressed, but there's nothing like the real thing, unfortunately the real thing was occuring before i was born or just born in 1975 :)
What would you recommend? Thanks so much!
P.S. I only like Genesis with Peter Gabriel
