From Tom ~
Lil,
Thank you so much for your insight & tech analysis of these Genesis tracks.
As a 3 time Grammy Award Winning Mixing Engineer, I found you to be spot on.
This music has been very dear to me and lives on with the various tours.
I first saw Genesis at the Beacon theater in NYC in 1976 and have not missed a tour since. I was lucky enough to catch the very last Genesis show to date at the Hollywood Bowl in 2007.
But always wished I had a chance to see The Lamb tour. Well, after seeing The Musical Box I feel as if I was there in 1974-1975.
Genesis & Peter Gabriel have had a huge impact on my live as a professional. Their music has been the inspiration for most of my career, and I have had the good fortune to have worked with them over the years.
I enjoyed your videos showing the original Vocal performance vs. the re-recorded vocals of "The Lamb". I thought I was the only one that heard that. Keep up the good work!!!
Hopefully our paths will cross on one of these tours.
Tom
From LiLeigh:
I am more than humbled.....the words "thank you" do not come nearly close enough to express my sincere appreciation for your praise, Tom (as well as your sharing of your incredibly impressive array of memories seeing Genesis perform from '76 to '07)!
I hope to thank you, in person, someday...at one of the upcoming Musical Box LLDOB dates.
Until then, with extreme gratitude...
